OrchidServe can provide fibre optic broadband (Fibre-to-the-Cabinet - FTTC) broadband in selected areas.

Normal ADSL broadband uses copper to deliver the service to you. As you get further from the exchange, copper can be susceptable to errors and the speeds are reduced on the line to cater for this.  With FTTC, a fibre optic cable is run to the cabinet in your street, so there is only copper from the short distance from the cabinet to your building. This allows FTTC broadband to run at much faster speeds.
